Maintenance Tips

In order to maximize the life of your tennis court, a regular maintenance schedule should be implemented.

Regularly Remove Debris-
Debris, leaves, and vegetation should be removed as often as possible. Stains and mold growth can occur if courts are not properly cleaned. During the winter off-season, it is important to keep courts clean to maintain an optimum playing surface.

Remove Puddles and Standing Water-
Stains can occur in puddles and areas of standing water. Remove water from depressions as often as possible and prevent watering systems from spraying onto court.

Keep Courts Clean-
It is ideal to clean tennis courts once a month. Scrub surface with a soft nylon or hair-type broom. Hard bristles can damage court surfaces. If using a water broom, the water pressure should be no greater than 70 psi. Stains and discoloration from organic material should be spot cleaned in-between regular court cleaning.

Repair Damaged Areas-
Cracks and depressions should be repaired as soon as they are noticed. Immediate repair of minor problems is easier and more cost-effective than overhauling a deteriorated court.
